Western Port Writes, in conjunction with Mornington Peninsula Libraries – Hastings Library, is proud to introduce two Writing Workshops with bestselling novelist Megan Rogers.
Come along in April and polish your writing skills. Whether you are at the start of your writing life or well advanced, these workshops will help hone your craft. Both workshops are free, but bookings essential.

Workshop 1: Creative Writing Workshop
Have you always wanted to write a book? Have a few chapters or a first draft and wonder – what next? In this workshop, Megan Rogers will share the best of what she taught over ten years of creative writing at RMIT to inspire, inform and help you take the next step in your creative writing journey – no matter where you are right now.
For: Emerging or beginner writers
When: Friday 12 April from 11am to 12pm
Where: Hastings Library, 7 High St Hastings

Workshop 2: Creative Writing Masterclass
This intensive workshop is designed for writers who have been working on a book and want to take their prospects to the next level. Explore whether to acquire an agent or send your manuscript directly to a publisher, how to troubleshoot that piece that’s not quite working or prepare your ms to send out, and how to connect with like-minded individuals away from the writing desk. This creative writing masterclass aims to be the inspiration and support you need.
For: Advanced and emerging writers
When: Friday 19 April from 11am to 12pm
Where: Hastings Library, 7 High St Hastings
