Western Port writes is a volunteer-run, community-focused festival.
For the community, Western Port Writes is a chance to attend a weekend of literature in our backyard – for the first time. Designed to be ‘local’ it will be an accessible festival held in special places that locals know and love. It invites readers to meet writers and hear stories with a link to Western Port, the Peninsula and beyond.
Come along and be part of the festival. There are many ways to participate and be connected. We’d love your support.
Volunteer at the festival
Volunteer applications are now closed. Thank you for your interest and support.
We’re seeking volunteers to assist with running events across various locations in Somers and surrounds over three days in September.
This is an opportunity to become involved and participate in the activities of the weekend as part of our community. Whether you have a specific skill, or interest or experience in running events. Whether you have the whole weekend to spare or just a few hours. There is something for everyone.
