Sophie Cunningham is a non-fiction writer and novelist with a passion for trees, walking and broader environmental issues. She’s written nine books, the most recent of which are This Devastating Fever (Ultimo Press) and Flipper and Finnegan – The True Story of How Tiny Jumpers Saved Little Penguins (Albert Street Books).
She’s also the author of City of Trees: Essays on Life, Death and the Need for a Forest (Text Publishing).
A Member of the Order of Australia for her contributions to literature, Sophie is the Chair of the Australian Society of Authors, a non- executive director of the Copyright Agency and she posts an image of a tree every day on her Instagram @sophtreeofday.
