As a young girl growing up on a farm in Victoria, Fiona Hammond learnt to cook on a wood-fired combustion stove with a respect for nature and its seasons, how food is grown and where it comes from.

Fiona has worked as a food columnist, recipe developer and food stylist on many cookbooks and coveted Australian food magazines, including contributing to Gourmet Traveller for a decade.

She has worked alongside some of Australia’s most well-respected cooks and chefs, and attributes this experience in shaping her work ethics of grace and precision. Her extensive travel is a continuing source of inspiration.

In 2002, Fiona moved to the Mornington Peninsula to raise her family, instantly falling in love with its landscapes, producers and food. Her recipes endeavour to take home cooks on an exploration of this beautiful region, through generous and practical recipes, designed to be cooked over and over again.
