Andrea Rowe is a best-selling, award-winning Australian picture book author. Andrea writes stories where characters explore the great outdoors, ponder big questions and move through tricky feelings, inspiring conversations amongst children, families and educators. Her picture book, Jetty Jumping (illustrated by Hannah Sommerville, published by Hardie Grant), was awarded 2022 CBCA Picture Book of the Year and 2023 Australian Speech Pathology Picture Book of the Year. In the Rockpool, Amid the Sand Dunes and Castle Crashing were awarded 2024, 2025 and 2026 CBCA Notable Picture Books of the Year. On a Bushwalk is out in September 2026. Andrea is the 2025 Victorian Public Libraries ambassador, and a May Gibbs Children’s Literature Trust Fellow.
