Amy Minichiello is a cook, a baker of cakes, a storyteller and memory-maker. She attributes her earliest culinary influences to her grandmothers – talented women who cooked and baked with love whilst mesmerising Amy with their baking skills and deftly dancing hands.
After many years studying and working in hospitality, Amy travelled to various culinary regions around Australia before returning home to Victoria where she operated her much-loved cafe, A Mini Kitchen, for four years. Family commitments caused Amy to shift her business online, where today she shares her recipes and stories. Recipes in the Mail is her first cookbook.
The written word and the sharing of stories have a magical way of connecting us to one another in more ways than we imagine. They enable our own world to open up like a music box full of treasures we didn’t know we needed.
