WPW26 Workshop Wonder
On a sunny Saturday morning in September, a group of keen writers gathered at the Hastings Community Hub to take part in the Western Port Writes 2026 Workshop series.

Last weekend the first gathering of volunteers met at Coolart to hear about the festival festivities. What a fabulous group.
Books and bubbles in Shoreham
“I’m a glutton for stories of food oiling the mechanics of life,” Kate writes. “I can’t help being moved by how a meal or a jar of condiments altered the course of events…The soup, the jam. These small offerings dispel suspicion and gloom."
A perfectly delicious afternoon
Books were on the menu as we listened to a warm, open, at times funny, always honest conversation between Belinda Hawkins and Kate Legge on her beautiful memoir, Delicious. An illuminating dialogue between these two talented journalists and storytellers, with its themes of food, friendship, love, infidelities and achieving acceptance.
Special event
We're excited to invite you to Dinner with Lisa Millar. Esteemed TV presenter, journalist and author Lisa Millar is the face of the ABC’s much-loved Muster Dogs and Back Roads. Lisa will be in conversation with award-winning journalist Belinda Hawkins.
